| In 1976, Leon Chapman and Ross Smidt got together and started Chapman-Smidt Hardware. They started out being a distributor for various Door Hardware Manufacturer’s. As the business grew, so did their ideas about where the company was headed. They soon decided to add a Hollow Metal Shop where they began welding Hollow Metal Frames and doing custom jobs. In order to provide the entire package, they began providing Wood Doors as well.
At Chapman-Smidt we continue to look for ways to improve ourselves, in order to meet our customer’s needs. We offer Wood Doors, Hollow Metal Doors and Frames as well as Door Hardware from the Leading Manufacturer’s available today. We work closely with many of the leading General Contractors to help them with all of their doors, frames and hardware needs and strive to make it a simple process. |
